NATURAL GAS SERVICE CONNECTION ORDER CONFIRMATION

Existing Home

APA Group, Operator for Australian Gas Networks and Allgas Network, thanks you for choosing natural gas. We confirm we have received your request for a natural gas connection at the address listed below:

Connection Address: 23 ROBE TCE, MEDINDIE SA 5081 MIRN:  5510253330

To complete your natural gas connection, please follow the 2 STEP PROCESS as detailed in this letter. If you require further information, our friendly Customer Service Team can be contacted on 1300 001 001.

STEP 1. Gas Service Installation

The first step is for APA to install your gas service line (this is the connection from the natural gas main in your street to your meter position). APA will issue these works to a Contractor to complete.

The Work Order Number for your service line is: The Total Gas Load for your connection is:

M21943618 730 MJ

The Work Order for the installation of your gas service has now been issued to an APA Contractor as detailed in the box below, and the expected completion date is 03/09/2025 If the gas service line is not completed by this date, you should liaise with the APA Contractor for more information (make sure to reference the Work Order Number)

It's important to note that if site instructions (e.g. trenching, removal of vegetation) were provided to you during the meter location inspection, these actions should be completed before the service line can be installed. Please communicate with the nominated APA Contractor to ensure timing of any site preparations is suitable.

Please also be aware of the following (it may be useful to share this list with your chosen gasfitter):

  1. The site needs to be clear and free of any obstruction to allow access for excavation machinery to the gas meter location.
  1. The gas meter must be located at least 500mm from any electrical meter and communication equipment.
  1. The gas meter must be located at least 1000mm from any opening to a building (e.gwindow, door, garage).
  1. The gas meter must be located at least 1000mm from a driveway.

Further information on site requirements can be found via the following link: https:// www.australiangasnetworks.com.au/builders-and-developers

STEP 2. Gas Meter Installation.

Your next step is to arrange a gas meter to be installed at the property. Only energy retailers can arrange a meter

installation since consumer laws do not allow APA to complete this function (although APA will install the meter once a request is received from the energy retailer). Information on which energy retailers can accept and arrange a meter installation can be found at https://www.australiangasnetworks.com.au/energyretailer

Please note: The gas meter can only be installed once the gas service line has been laid from the street.

How to order a gas meter: Contact your chosen energy retailer to set up a gas billing account and book a meter installation appointment. For rental properties, the homeowner can instruct the tenant to complete this task. As processing times can vary between energy retailers, it is recommended that you lodge a request for a meter installation at least 1 week ahead of when you need gas to be connected at your home.

The energy retailer will require your Meter Identification Registration Number (MIRN) to arrange the meter installationAs listed on the first page, your MIRN is 5510253330

Please be aware that while only select energy retailers can facilitate a meter installation, you can choose any retailer in your designated area for ongoing gas billing once you are connected.

Important information - Compliance Certificate: You (as the property owner) are required to engage a licensed gasfitter to install the required appliance/s and the pipework from those appliances to the designated meter position. A gas appliance shop may also facilitate this work for you as part of an appliance sale. You can initiate this work as soon as you are ready. Once both your gas service line and gas meter are installed, you will need to notify your gasfitter since they are responsible for commissioning your gas appliances; this step allows you to use gas in your home.

Your gasfitter (as the licensed/authorised installer of the gas system at your property) must issue a Compliance Certificate for the gas system. The "gas system" includes gas appliances (e.g. cooker, hot water system, etc.) and the pipework into your property after the meter. Please ensure that the required Compliance Certificate is issued by your chosen installer since this is your confirmation that the gas system is fully compliant with safety and other legislative requirements. Failure to issue the Compliance Certificate to you is illegal and penalties may apply.
