Card 6: New Gas Connection

A natural gas supply line was installed today

work in progress

Dear Resident,

Your natural gas supply line was installed today!

You can now contact your preferred energy retailer to:

  • Set up a gas billing account.
  • Order a gas meter for your property (allow up to 5 business days).

Your energy retailer may ask you to quote your MIRN number shown below.

If you're unsure which energy retailers offer new connection services in your area, visit www.australiangasnetworks.com.au/energyretailer for more information.

You don't need to be home when the gas meter is installed. However, if your property has restricted access, be sure to provide clear instructions when placing your order.

Once the gas meter is installed, your plumber will be responsible for finalising the gas connection so your gas appliances are ready to use.

We're here to help. If you have any questions about the above, please contact us on 1300 001 001.
