Card 9: Your Gas Supply Has Been Turned Off

Important notice

work in progress

Dear Gas Consumer,

During a visit to your property today to complete the following work:

  • Investigate a reported gas leak
  • Change your gas meter
  • Other_____________________
It was necessary to leave the gas supply turned off.
A safety test of your gas pipework was completed which identified that gas was passing through your meter. This could indicate that there is a gas leak in your pipework or an appliance has been left turned on.
As access to your premises was not possible on the day to check your appliances, for safety reasons your gas meter has been turned off.
You will need to engage a licensed gasfitter/plumber to check your installation and arrange any repairs. Your gasfitter can then restore your gas supply.
We regret any inconvenience caused, however we are required to adhere to strict safety requirements.
If you have any questions please get in touch with our customer service team on 1300 001 001
