Card 13: Gas Installation Non-Compliance Notice
Important Notice
Dear Gas Consumer,
During a visit to your property today to undertake gas network related work it was identified that your gas installation does not comply with the requirements of the Australian Gas Fitting Standards (AS/NZS 5601.1) or gas infrastructure requirements.
The following fault(s) were identified:
Gas Appliance: hot water service/ cooker/ heater/ central heater ____________
- Gas appliance/s not installed in accordance with Australian Standards.
- External hot water service installed in a room or enclosed space.
- Gas appliance installed too close to a window, door or vent.
- Access walkway or lighting is required.
Gas Installation
- Consumer pipework incorrectly installed.
Please contact a licensed tradesperson to arrange for any gas appliance or installation issue(s) to be resolved.
Gas Meter
- Safe access to meter required for meter reading, maintenance and emergency.
- Electrical appliance or earthing installed too close to gas meter.
- Meter in a position where protective bollards are required.
Gas Inlet Service
- Gas inlet service pipe is installed under a structure.

Located in Adelaide, this project was the first in Australia to blend renewable hydrogen into the existing gas network, and supplies up to a 10% renewable gas blend to around 4,000 customers.
Hydrogen Park Murray Valley (HyP MV)
Based in Wodonga Victoria, this project will blend up to 10% renewable hydrogen with natural gas to over 40,000 residential and business customers.
Hydrogen Park Gladstone (HyP Gladstone)
Located in Gladstone Queensland, this facility is the first to blend renewable gas into an entire city's network, serving around 770 homes and business with up to a 10% blend.
