The Connection Process
Whether you’re making the move to natural gas for your new home or an existing home, we are here to help make the connection process easy.
From 1 October 2026, a new upfront connection charge of $2,235 (excluding GST) will apply to all new standard residential gas connections in Albury (NSW) postcodes 2640, 2641 and 2642, following a rule change by the Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC).
Changes to gas connections in Victoria
The Victorian Government has announced that from 1 January 2024, all new dwellings seeking planning permits will be required to be all-electric.
Consequently, new homes, residential subdivisions and apartment buildings that need planning permits for construction will no longer be allowed to connect to the gas network.
