How is the AGN Customer Portal different to the Builder’s Portal?

The AGN Customer Portal will be similar to the Builders portal, but upgraded with some additional features. All updates are designed with the aim of making the Portal experience easier for you.

Key additional features are:

  • A refreshed design
  • Ability to override megajoule ratings
  • Easily find requests by an internal reference number
  • Handy alerts (e.g. gas meter sizing)
  • Updated appliances selection
  • Ability to add customised appliances
  • Better designed for easier use on tablet and mobile devices
  • Easier to add/remove attachments
  • Set up a new account for new users yourself (if required)
  • Improved Help Section
  • Request a connection for multiple dwellings on the one site (new feature for QLD & NSW users) 

How will I access the new Portal once it’s live?

You can access the new Portal exactly the same way as you do the current portal. However if you would like to update your bookmarks, then note the new URL is portal.australiangasnetworks.com.au.

Will I have access to my old connection requests?

Yes you will. When you log into your new account, you should expect to see all your connection requests from as far back as 1 January 2017. If you need to see connection requests older than this date, you can call our Customer Service Center on 1300 001 001 for assistance.

What do I need to do when I login in to the new Portal for the first time?

Before launch, we’ll email you a new username and temporary password to use when you first sign into the new Portal.

(If you don’t already have a username, we’ll set one up for you so that you’re right to go from the start.)

We recommend you change your password on your first login.

Please be aware, the username and password you currently use on the Builders Portal will no longer work after the new Portal is live.

You will only be able to login using a username (not your email address.)

It’s also a good idea to take the opportunity to ensure all your account details are up to date (i.e contact person, email etc).

When will the AGN Customer Portal be live?

The new Portal is due to go live on April 4th.  

There may be some downtime leading up to the new Portal where the current Portal won’t be available.

We’ll make sure to let you know ahead of time when that will be and what your alternative will be, if you need to urgently request a new connection during that timeframe.

If there is downtime required, we don’t expect it to be longer than a day.
