Natural gas rebates for Mildura customers*

*2019 Promotion Period: 1 January 2019 to 13 December 2019. 

Australian Gas Networks (AGN) currently has a special rebate campaign for existing home customers in the Mildura region.

Get a $500 rebate when you install a major natural gas appliance.

A $500 rebate is available for the installation of the following major appliances:

  • Natural gas hot water
  • Natural gas ducted central heating or hydronic heating
  • Natural gas flued space heating (e.g. decorative gas log fire, wall furnace)

A limit of 1 x $500 rebate per appliance type per household applies (subject to all others Terms and Conditions being met; appliance must be a new installation, not a replacement of a pre-existing natural gas appliance).

 

Get a $100 rebate when you install any other natural gas appliance.

A $100 rebate is available for the installation of any other natural gas appliance, including:

  • Supplementary hot water systems or heating
  • Outdoor heating appliances (e.g. fire pit, fire table)
  • Barbecue
  • Cooktop, oven, or combination cooker
  • Clothes-dryer
  • Pool/spa heaters

There is no limit to how many $100 rebates a connecting household may claim, however, the appliance must be fully connected and it must be a new installation (not a replacement of a pre-existing natural gas appliance).

 

AGN's special $500 connection bonus.

If you're connecting to natural gas for the very first time, you can also qualify for a $500 connection bonus as long as you also install at least one of the following major natural gas appliances:

  • Natural gas hot water system (excluding gas-boosted solar models)
  • Natural gas flued space heating units (e.g. gas log fire, wall furnace)
  • Natural gas ducted central heating or hydronic heating

General campaign terms

1)  Appliance rebates and the connection bonus can be claimed by one of two options:

  • Customers can choose a participating rebate supplier, who will be able to complete the natural gas work required (i.e. supply, install the selected natural gas appliance/s) and facilitate rebate payments from AGN (most commonly as a discount from price). Use this directory to find suppliers closest to your area.
  • Alternatively, customers can now claim appliance rebates and the connection bonus direct from AGN using AGN's new cashback website, once appliance installation is complete. The cashback website is found here. To make a successful rebate claim, customers will need to make sure they can attach a copy of the Gas Compliance Certificate, and any invoices relating to appliance purchase and installation. Approved rebate claims will be paid to customers as a cashback by direct bank transfer. 

2)  Offers apply to existing dwellings only, including rental properties. New builds are excluded from these offers.

3)  Appliance rebates are open to existing home properties already connected to natural gas AND to existing home properties connecting to natural gas for the first time ('new connection properties'). However, the connection bonus is only open to first-time gas connection customers, subject to all Terms and Conditions being met. Properties re-connecting to natural gas are not eligible for this bonus.

4)  Rebates can only be claimed for fully connected appliances, purchased during the campaign period, which in 2019 is 1 January 2019 to 13 December 2019. 

5)  No rebate is payable if appliance is replacing a pre-existing natural gas appliance.

6)  Conversions of appliances from LPG to natural gas qualify for AGN’s appliance rebates.

7)  Proof of purchase/appliance installation will be required for each rebate being claimed.

8)  Rebates available until 13 December 2019.

9)  Appliance rebates are open to existing home properties already connected to natural gas AND to existing home properties connecting to natural gas for the first time. However, the connection bonus is only open to first-time gas connection customers, subject to all Terms and Conditions being met.

10)  This offer replaces the 2018 Mildura Rebate Promotion, as well as any previous variations of that Promotion in preceding years.
